Prarambh: Igniting Minds at GLA
Purpose:
The objective of Parambh was to create a meaningful first interaction, where students could feel welcomed, receive a comprehensive orientation, and openly discuss their goals and expectations from GLAU – CDOE.
Pre-Program Activities
The preparatory phase involved a structured sequence of engagement initiatives to ensure effective outreach and participation. Initially, informational flyers were circulated among the target audience to generate awareness. This was followed by a reinforcement call to re-engage prospective attendees and a final confirmation call to ensure maximum participation and preparedness.
Main Program Proceedings
The main session commenced with a formal introduction of the host (Dr. Avnish Sharma), setting the tone for the event. This was followed by an interactive segment wherein students introduced themselves and shared their expectations from GLA Online University. The program continued with insights delivered by the Director, followed by encouraging remarks from the Head of the Department (HOD). To enhance community feeling and interaction, a cultural segment was introduced, including a musical performance by an alumnus (Fig. 5) and student talent highlights like gaming (Fig. 6).
End of the Session
The session concluded with a closing note by the host, summarizing the key takeaways and expressing appreciation for participation.
Post Session
Learners received a post-session email expressing gratitude and requesting feedback.
